The past few weeks have been a whirlwind on the pitch with east coast and home games keeping me busy in front of the goal for the Sounders.

I’ve also been flat out finishing my first series of art canvases and very grateful the work has been showcased in a couple of important news outlets here in Seattle.

Stefan Frei Seattle Times

First up, a really nice write up by Jayda Evans in The Seattle Times: The goalkeeper’s gallery: How the Sounders’ Stefan Frei is using his art to prepare for life after soccer

Stefan Frei & Bryan Meredith

And then my fellow Sounders goalie and buddy, Bryan Meredith, and I were interviewed by the fabulous Margaret Larson on New Day Northwest on King 5.

That was a fun time talking social media, plane etiquette (please don’t use your feet to swipe through TV channels!), the upcoming Portland game, and a little teaser about my art.

If you follow me on social media, you’ll know I have been hard at work on these pieces, so to have people like Margaret and Jayda interested before they’re even finished means alot.

Hope you enjoyed these interviews and they inspire others to follow their passions as well.

Every good wish.

  • Hi! My name is Lizzy. I am 6 years old and you are my favorite soccer player cause you do art. And you like dogs. Just like me. My dad and older brother love watching you play soccer. During the game I always get out my picture of you to help root you on from the living room. I am excited to see more of your art. It inspires me.

    • Thanks for your kind words Lizzy. I am honored to have your support. I will keep adding more art so you can see what I am working on. Hope you are well.
      Every good wish,

    • Hello Jean,
